CCCC trustees to meet this week
The Central Carolina Community College Board of Trustees will hold its summer meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Several matters are on the agenda, including the swearing in (and re-swearing in) of some trustees.
Some of the most notable agenda items are ones about construction. Several projects that had been put on hold last fall because of the economy are now back on the table. The Chatham Board of Commissioners approved last week bids to construct a new classroom building and community library (that building will serve the county and CCCC).Bids apparently were 13 percent lower than when the project was previously bid in August 2008, according to the Chatham Journal.
Plans also are in the works for a new Siler City center for the college.
CCCC’s marketing plan also will be presented, as well as a presentation from the CCCC Foundation’s director.
